TRANSWASCO Holds Monthly Staff Meeting at Northern Compound

TRANSWASCO convened its monthly staff meeting at the Northern Compound to review January's performance, discuss staff welfare, and enhance service delivery.

Earlier today, TRANSWASCO held its monthly staff meeting at the company’s Northern Compound, bringing together employees from various departments to review progress, streamline operations, and align efforts toward effective service delivery.

The focus of the meeting was on key performance indicators and a comprehensive review of January’s achievements. These were evaluated against individual roles and responsibilities to ensure each team member’s contribution supports the company’s overall objectives.

The Ag. Managing Director, Lucy Njeri, applauded the staff for their dedication and consistent efforts in delivering water and sanitation services since the company’s establishment. She emphasized the importance of accountability and encouraged staff to respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints.

Staff welfare was another major highlight. The Human Resource department announced the rollout of a new medical cover and encouraged employees to make use of the benefits. Additionally, the approved company code of conduct was introduced, and employees were urged to familiarize themselves with it as part of their commitment to professionalism.

The meeting also introduced an online leave application system accessible via the self-service portal, offering a more convenient and efficient way for staff to manage their leave.

In a bid to combat fraud and improve customer confidence, employees were reminded to promote the use of the USSD code that allows customers to verify staff identity. They were also encouraged to educate customers on how to download and use the TRANSWASCO Maji App from the Play Store, which enables users to check water bills, view balances, submit complaints, and access other essential services.

The meeting was attended by key members of the management team including the Head of Technical, Hudson Makhanu; Head of Finance, Ramadhan Kubende; Senior Officer for Risk & Internal Audit, Nelly Ng’eno; Human Resource Officers, Bilha Sabwami and Eugene Khaemba; Senior ICT Officer, Peter Wasike; Senior Commercial Officer, Mark Werunga; alongside supervisors and other staff members.

The gathering served as a productive forum for sharing updates, reinforcing core values, and ensuring that all staff remain aligned with TRANSWASCO’s mission of providing reliable water and sanitation services to the residents of Trans Nzoia County.
