Procedure for Applying for a Sewerage Service Connection
Obtain and Complete Application Form:
Visit the customer service center to collect an application form for a new sewer connection.
Customer care officers are available to guide applicants on correctly filling out the form and registering it upon completion. Connection charges will be provided per the approved tariff.
Premises Survey and Requirements Assessment:
Within five days of submitting the application form and paying the connection charges, a survey of the premises will be conducted to determine requirements for the new sewer connection.
Drainage Work Inspection and Approval:
Once the customer completes the necessary drainage work, TRANSWASCO staff will inspect the work to ensure it meets the required standards before the service connection is made.
Connection Installation:
The sewer connection will be completed within five days after drainage work has been finalized and approved.
Customer Information on Sewer Maintenance:
During installation, the customer will receive information on maintaining the sewer connection, steps to take in case of blockages, and guidance on appropriate usage.
Billing:
The customer will receive the first bill with sewer charges within one month from the connection date.
Sewer Blockage and Overflow Repairs:
TRANSWASCO will repair reported sewer blockages or overflows as quickly as possible.
Exhauster Services:
Customers in informal and formal settlements, as well as private exhauster services, are eligible for exhauster services upon completing a requisition form. This service will be provided within 24 hours, with charges based on the approved tariff.
Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Models:
TRANSWASCO provides sewer services through PPP models to enhance service delivery in collaboration with private entities where applicable.
