The initiative, aimed at reducing electricity costs at the treatment plant, was warmly welcomed by Governor Natembeya, who emphasized the importance of modernizing water infrastructure to support the county’s continued growth. “This pledge is a significant step towards making our water management systems more efficient and sustainable,” said the Governor.

Ambassador Lotem reiterated his commitment to supporting Transwasco, stating, “Israel is known for its advancements in water management and green energy. We are eager to share these technologies with Transwasco to ensure that the company can operate more efficiently while reducing its carbon footprint.”

The event was attended by several key officials, including County Secretary Truphosa Amere, CEC for Water, Environment, Natural Resources & Climate Change Joseph Pepela, Chief Officer Dorothy Nyukuri, Health CEC Sam Ojwang, Transwasco Chairman Chami Simiyu, and Acting Manager Lucy Njeri.
