Trans Nzoia County Water & Sanitation Company Ltd (formerly known as Trans Nzoia County Water and Sewerage Company Ltd) was incorporated on 2nd July 2020 under the Companies Act, 2015. The company began its operations on 1st July 2024, following the de-clustering of Nzoia Water Services Company Limited. It is fully owned by the County Government of Trans Nzoia.

Under the Water Act, 2016, Trans Nzoia County Water & Sanitation Company Ltd (TRANSWASCO) operates as a water and sanitation services provider. The company is licensed by WASREB as the sole provider of water and sanitation services in Trans Nzoia County.
